Simple, usage-based pricing

Pay for the service you run—not the machinery around it.

Choose a monthly minimum, use every dollar of it toward runtime resources, and keep a hard ceiling on spend. BlackSails adds no build-minute charge.

How the bill works

01

Choose a minimum

Start at $5 on Hobby or $20 on Pro.

02

Use the credit

The minimum covers that amount of metered usage.

03

Pay only the difference

If usage goes beyond it, only the overage is added.

Common questions

The fine print, in plain language.

How does included usage work?

Your plan price is a monthly minimum, not a fee added on top of the same amount of usage. Hobby includes the first $5 of metered resources and Pro includes the first $20. You pay overage only when usage exceeds that included amount.

What happens during the trial?

A payment card activates a 3-day trial with up to $5 of usage. The plan you select begins automatically after the trial. Trial workloads stop early if the trial credit is exhausted.

Can I prevent an unexpected bill?

Yes. Every workspace has a hard spending limit. BlackSails warns at 80% and suspends workloads when they reach the limit. The default is $25 for Hobby and $100 for Pro, and the workspace owner can change it.

Do builds consume BlackSails usage?

No. Local builds are free, and BlackSails does not add a build-minute charge when you connect Runnable. Runnable execution follows the plan and limits of your connected Runnable organization. BlackSails usage starts with the managed runtime and also includes network egress and stored deployment artifacts.

Can I switch plans?

Plan and payment management live in the billing dashboard. Your included usage and default spending limit follow the active plan.
